Chef John's Sticky Buns
To re-create Chef John's perfected recipe, we start by forming a yeasted, very sticky dough that will become the base for the sweet goodness to come! A blend of melted butter and sugars is spread into a greased pan and topped evenly with crunchy pecans while a brown sugar and cinnamon filling is mixed up. Our proofed dough is formed into a rectangle, sprinkled with the sweet filling, and rolled into a cylinder before it's cut with kitchen string into 12 buns.
