I just made this recipe. It came out pretty good. I also tweaked it a little. Only used 3 eggs and 9 pieces of bread, and 2/4 sugar. Ten minutes before it was time to take it out of the oven, I melted 2 tbs of butter and added a little brown sugar then I brushed it on top of the bread and left in in the over another 10 minutes. It was golden and delicious

March 23, 2013 4:54 PM I'm just starting to get into the baking thing I love to bake and the first thing I started doing was baking my favorite treat Bread Pudding so I tried it twice but I'm doing something wrong and I need someone who know how to bake it tell me what I'm doing wrong. Ok!! I have my bread,2 tbl. spoon of melted butter, 4 eggs,2 cups of milk,3/4 cups of sugar,1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract then I set my oven at 350 degrees I mix all my things together in a 8in. pan an let it bake for 45mins. and just before I take it out I see it rise and it looks good but when I take it out it flattens and it's not really that moist like I know it should be so I hope someone can show me or tell what I'm doing wrong.
