Polish Babka Cake

This traditional Polish babka cake is baked in a Bundt pan. Babka means grandmother and it is believed that the shape of the pan is meant to resemble a skirt's pleats. It is usually made with yeast, but this is a simpler version made without. It's a moist and dense cake flavored with hints of vanilla, almond, and lemon. Dust with confectioners' sugar if desired.
