Find yourself a flowering plant of basil for the most highly fragrant pesto. Then into a mortar drop some garlic cloves with coarse salt and pulverize for super strong flavor. Add basil in portions and crush until everything becomes a fine paste. Add pine nuts and Parmesan, then slowly mix in a mellow extra virgin olive oil to achieve a gorgeous and delicious true pesto.
