It's a wonderful summer side dish for any grilled meat and perfect for picnics since it can be served safely at room temperature. Rinse medium-grain rice until run-off water is completely clear, then let dry for one hour. Next add rice to water and set on medium-high heat until simmering, then set on low for 10 minutes.
