Yeah, sure Cindy--in Hawaii we'll just climb Mauna Kea on THE BIG ISLAND and tap a few Maple trees (non-existent) and process the sap.. ..gheez.. WE DON'T ALL LIVE IN VERMONT...

Would you like a syrup recipe? Helen's syrup 1# box cane brown sugar 2cups of reg sugar 2 cups water 1 tsp lemon juice 1 tsp maple flavoring, (i use organic) Mix sugars, water, lemon juice an bring to boil for 5 minutes, remove from heat and add mape flavor and enjoy.

These were pretty good. I had the heat too high at first and scorched a couple. The rest were fine but I noticed a strong taste of flour.
