Scott’s Famous Chicken Wings

In this video, you’ll learn how to make Buffalo wings the truly authentic way, from Buffalo native Scott Scazafavo. “Where I’m from, they’re just called ‘wings,’” says Scott. As he's made his way across the country, from Buffalo to North Carolina to Seattle, Scott's always been quick to share his wings with lucky friends along the way. But never his coveted recipe…until now. Get the recipe for Scott’s Famous Chicken Wings.

I'm also a Buffalo, NY native, much older than Scott. Wings were first cooked in Buffalo,NY by a man named Paul Young in the 196o's. Why this isn't recognized can be anyone's guess. Knowing the history of the United States, many Black people were not given credit for their inventions or ideals.

In the early 60's, I used to buy a 10 lb bag of wings for $1.00 before Buffalo wings came into the picture. (Hard to believe, isn't it?) They were delicious just basting them with butter as they grilled.
