Southwestern Turkey Soup

In this video, you’ll see how to make Southwest-style turkey soup. A deliciously different twist on turkey soup, this 5-star favorite features a spicy Southwest flair, with green chiles, cayenne, and cumin providing some kick. If you like, add canned black beans and corn to the mix. Garnish with diced avocado, cilantro, and a sprinkle of shredded Monterey Jack cheese. No leftover turkey on hand? This soup is also delicious with leftover chicken or shredded rotisserie chicken. Watch the video, then get Doug’s top-rated recipe for Southwestern Turkey Soup. Serve with warm cornbread or tortilla chips.

I was so glad I had all the ingredients to make this soup. My husband loves Chicken Tortilla soup, so I was excited to try it. The pot is simmering now and I cant wait for him to taste it for dinner. I just had some for lunch, It is fabulous. I can see why this popped up number 1 for turkey soup leftovers. Great Job Doug Matthews and daughter!!!!

I made this soup with most of the ingredients except the green chili and black beans, I replaced it with celery and carrots and was delicious.
