I've never add vinegar to these but i can't find my previous recipe for red velvet cupcakes. (I've also put raspberry puree into it and not so much food dye) What does the vinegar do?

I like that this has vinegar in it. I very often add vinegar to things I want to rise very well, like cakes and pancakes. It combines with the baking soda, to produce LOTS of air bubbles and make the lightest baked goods possible!

Personally I leave the wrappers on (though I usually opt for pretty ones). I hate getting my hands messy when trying to eat something like a cupcake. Call me a savage if you will :P
