Chicken Chile Verde
In this video, Chef John shows you how to make a chicken stew in a delicious tomatillo sauce. First, you’ll see how to make an easy sauce in a blender, combining tomatillos, fresh jalapenos, cilantro, garlic, and chicken stock. Then it’s just about preparing the onions and chicken with seasonings and sautéing to wake up the herbs and spices, before simmering everything with the blended tomatillo sauce. Let this cook for a nice long while, adding chunks of potatoes during the last half hour or so, and cooking until the meat is falling off the bone. Delicious!
