Sweet Hot Mustard Chicken Thighs

In this video, you’ll see how to make a sweet, hot-mustard marinade for baked (or grilled) chicken. Chef John is using chicken thighs here, but you can use any part you like. For the marinade, you’ll sweeten Dijon mustard with brown sugar, and then spice it up with cayenne, chipotle powder, garlic, and red wine vinegar. It’s super easy. He also shows you a great trick for getting the marinade down beneath the skin and into the thigh. Watch the video, then get Chef John's recipe for Sweet Hot Mustard Chicken Thighs. Serve them with the delicious juice, which you’ll reduce in a skillet.

Chef John never ever disappoints and this dish is a perfect case and point; he also has such a great upbeat & funny delivery with cooking/entertainment at its finest!!

I always buy boneless chicken. My husband bought bone in chicken thighs in error, and I found this recipe - my son loved them so much, I have made this recipe six times in two months. I don't even think that my husband got to taste them. I tried another chicken thigh recipe, but this one from Chef John gets requested all the time.
