Here's the real way to make egg rolls. You need to cook the cabbage before you roll them because cabbage shrinks down as it has a lot of water. Then you egg roll from seem so "empty" after you cook it. If you want more flavor, don't be lazy and buy the cabbage in a bag. Just buy a head of cabbage - cheaper too. If you have a food processor just slice it up, it'll take 2 minutes. Do the carrots the same way (buy them in bunches - they have more flavor that way). I don't know why you would want to make just 8 or 10 egg rolls because your package of wraps are for 20+. I used about 1/3 head of cabbage and made 20 egg rolls. They freeze well and taste awesome when you reheat them in the oven later. My late Japanese mother in law taught me how to make these.
