Add a bit of baking soda to the water (1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon) and they'll peel like a dream.

definitely should put vinegar in the water with the eggs. They should not be boiled, but just "dancing" before you turn off the heat, and leave them on the element for 17 minutes, then pour off the hot water and pour cold water over. Leave for 20 minutes, then they will peel like a dream and not show any grey on the yolk......
