What a bunch of whiners. Why not knit your own sweaters instead of buying them...with yarn made from sheep you raised? I mean since doing everything from scratch is better. Why not churn your own butter with a home made churn that you whittled from some tree bark? Why not build your own bicycle and ride it around since you all hate modern conveniences so much. Canned food isn't the end of the world. Do *everything* from scratch or you're a hyporcrite. Heck, why don't you get a root canal without anesthesia since doing things the OLD way is natural and better! Down with modern conveniences.

I have a similar recipe I like. 2 lbs chuck steak or stew meat chopped. 1 can cr of celery, 1 can cr of mush. 1 pkg Lipton onion and mushroom, 1/3 can water. Cook in slow cooker 3-4 hrs. Add 1 cup sour cream when done. Serve on wide egg noodles. I also add can of mushrooms. Enjoy. Can also cook 2 hrs at 350
