How to Make Fried Pickles

Enjoy a little taste of the south. A Southern favorite, deep-fried dill pickles make an easy and delicious appetizer. In this video, you’ll learn how to make homemade fried pickles, also fondly known as “frickles.” We’ll walk you through a quick frying preparation, showing you how to dip, dredge, and fry sliced dill pickles in hot oil. You’ll see a nifty way to tell when the dill slices are ready to be removed to paper towels. Serve these easy fried pickles with a quick dipping sauce and enjoy with a cold beer or a glass of iced tea.

You need to use bread crumbs, those don't even look good. Here's my recipe for anyone who wants better looking and tasting fried pickles. Ingredients: 1 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp pepper 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper 1 tsp dill weed 1 1/2 cups bread crumbs 1 egg 2/3 cup of milk Pickles First you put all dry ingredients together. Than put the egg and milk in a separate bowl. You than cut the pickles quartered length wise, or however you want them. Next you dry the pickles off with paper towel so that the batter sticks better. Now, you want to dip the pickle into the egg mixture and than into the bread crumbs. I always double coat them. And than stick them in your deep fryer on high until they float or brown. And there you have delicious deep fried pickles! Everyone loves them when i make them. You wont be disappointed :)

Oh I love fried pickles! There's a mom & pop burger joint that we go to occasionally that serves them. There's seem to have a little spice in the batter though, maybe cayenne pepper.
