The video shows how NOT to cut the meat!! It shows cutting WITH the grain, so that you have long fibers of meat to have to bite into & chew. One needs to cut "against the grain" so that the slices have very short fibers, making it very easy to bite into & chew. ~~ I highly recommend "Slow Cooked Corned Beef for Sandwiches" on this site. Can cook it in a slow cooker (ie, Crock Pot)for 8 hours on low, adding vegs in last 2 hrs. Recipe found at:

Great Video. I used the spice package that came in the vacuum pack of my beef.. and I made this in the crock pot WITH the vegetables from the start! (next time I think I'll add them later in the process or cook them on the side- the potatoes broke up too much to my liking and didn't look as nice as firmer veggies would have on the platter.... But if you don't have the time to do this, just put it all together.. it'll still be delicious.
