Nice dish , but try this , instead of bread crumbs , use Panko , the crunch add another layer & add to the ham & Swiss a few Spears of blanched Aspargus !! ( blanch in Plastic bag in microwave abt 2 mins) , easy clean up !! If u wish to add even another layer of taste, use Blue cheese on top rather than more swiss .. As they do in France ;-)) enjoy

I always have loved chicken cordon bleu and chicken kiev but I find the use of skinless chicken breasts to result in only a sad approximation of what used to be. Could you make some with skin on just to demonstrate the technique? Jim

I also use the drippings or chicken broth with bullion to make a gravy. I add a little of the cheese to this gravy once it is thickened, and the flavor is great.
