Refried Beans without the Refry

In this video, you’ll see how to make refried beans in your slow cooker. Dry pinto beans are seasoned with garlic, onion, jalapeno peppers, and cumin, and then slow cooked to perfection. Get CHEFCLAUDE’s 5-star recipe for Refried Beans without the Refry. A classic side dish for Mexican dishes like enchiladas and tacos, they're also so tasty served beside steaks and roast chicken! And maybe best of all? These beans are fat free!

This is my go to recipe for non refried beans. My son and I have this dish at least every two weeks. The seasonings give it all the rich flavor you need,But without the calories. Even with no salt as I prefer low sodium, you can always season to your tastes. Thank you Chef Claude!!

Also, HTML doesn't work, so the nutrition calculator didn't show up:

@Heidi: According to this nutrition calculator, the whole batch will have the following characteristics (maybe slightly less, since you don't use all the cooking liquid): Calories: 2110 Carbs: 385 Fat: 7 Protein: 126 Sodium: 11708 Sugar: 18 I imagine carbs, fat, protein, and sugar are given in grams, and sodium is milligrams, though the calculator gives unitless values. The recipe does not give a suggested serving amount - maybe just figure out how much you can eat based on the amount of carbs you're allowed?
