This is going to be pretty darn bland and lacking flavor without adding some salt to the potato cooking water. I always add some white vinegar to the water, usually a hand-full celery leaves as well. Cutting the bacon before you fry it makes it easier to chop up. Bacon is always better baked in the oven on parchment paper. Thanks.

In my family, we cook red potatoes in their jackets the night before. After cooling overnight, the unpeeled potatoes are sliced, then the dressing is made and the potatoes are added.

I just watched the Video German Potato Salad. I may tatst good , but sorry that is NOT german, I am german and we do not add sugar in Potato salad.
