We then move on to mixing up our walnut- and cinnamon-based crumble before we cream together our cake's wet ingredients and blend them with the dry. Our layering process begins by spreading half of the coffee cake batter into a buttered dish, sprinkling crumble on top, and continuing with the remaining batter and crumble.
