Food News and Trends Product Reviews and Buying Guides The 5 Best New Trader Joe’s Products I Tried in April Hurry! Some of them won't be in stores for long. By Nea Arentzen Published on April 27, 2023 Share Tweet Pin Email Photo: Adobe Stock/Allrecipes Just like last month, Trader Joe's has some exciting new products for you to try this April. It revamped some oldies but goodies, expanded the snack selection, and introduced some completely new flavors. From tempura-battered seaweed to ube-flovored cookies and more, we doubt you'll have trouble finding something you like. Here are five must-tries for you to check out on your next grocery run. Trader Joe's Spicy Tempura Seaweed Snacks Remember when snacking on roasted salted seaweed was all the rage? Well, these are ten times better. Trader Joe's has taken nori to the next level by frying it in a crunchy tempura batter and seasoning it with a togarashi-style spice blend that adds just the right amount of heat. Be warned–you might have trouble putting the bag down (or sharing for that matter). Trader Joe's Buttermilk Ranch Dressing Trader Joe's/Allrecipes With its already existing selection of popular dressings, it's about time Trader Joe's has its own ranch! The Buttermilk Ranch is made with a classic combination of buttermilk, mayonnaise, and sour cream, and is seasoned with a blend of spices and herbs like garlic, chives, dill, and shallots. Use the ranch as a dip for vegetables or spicy Buffalo chicken wings, or drizzle it over a taco salad and your favorite pizza. There are also plenty of other ways to use ranch dressing, so don't be afraid to get creative! Trader Joe's Ube Joe Joe's Sandwich Cookies If you've been to Trader Joe's recently, you may have noticed an abundance of new ube-flavored products, including the Ube Joe Joe's sandwich cookies. Ube, for reference, is a purple yam with a somewhat vanilla-like flavor, making it a great addition to baked goods. These ube treats in particular are made with vanilla sandwich cookies filled with ube cream and dipped in an ube- and yogurt-candy coating. If you're a fan of the classic Joe Joe's (and the also-new Coffee and Dark Chocolate Joe Joe's), there's no good reason why you shouldn't give these a try. Trader Joe's Peanut Butter Brookie Trader Joe's/Allrecipes Why should we have to choose between a brownie and a cookie when we can have both? Well, that's exactly what Trader Joe's thought when they released its original brookie a few years ago. And since becoming one of the top sellers, TJ's decided it was finally time to give it a revamp–enter Peanut Butter Brookie. This irresistible treat starts with a layer of fudgy chocolate brownie, followed by a layer of peanut butter cookie dough, and topped with crunchy and salty peanuts for added texture. Just like these peanut butter bars, you get your filling of chocolate and peanut butter all in one bite. Trader Joe's Korean Gochujang Sauce In case you're not familiar with gochujang, it's a sweet, savory, and slightly spicy fermented condiment that is widely used in Korean cooking. Luckily for us, Trader Joe's saw the need for it on the shelves and created a sauce that combines the flavors of gochujang, sesame oil, soy sauce, and brown rice vinegar. This versatile sauce can be drizzled over French fries, chicken fried rice, or eggs. You could also toss it with chicken wings, or serve it with homemade Korean barbeque. Regardless of what you choose to do with it, it can help add a unique and delicious flavor to almost any dish. Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback! Tell us why! Other Submit
