Mom's Beef Shish Kabobs
My Mom has cooked this recipe for as long as I remember. Now that I live on my own, I can't wait to go back home over the holidays to have this excellent dish. Mom would probably be upset that I gave it away, but it is so delicious that I think everyone should have a chance to experience it. Technically shish kabobs use lamb, so these should be called beef kabobs, but this is the family recipe and what we call it.
This cevapcici (pronounced 'che-vap-chee-chee') recipe is from my husband's family who live in Trieste, Italy. I've added hot Hungarian paprika and nutmeg to mine, to make them spicier. These are great for summertime BBQ plain or brushed with your favorite BBQ sauce. Great for entertaining, as an appetizer served with tzatziki sauce.
Fajitas On A Stick
I had some sirloin that I had to use up and couldn't find a recipe that I liked, so I made one up! I didn't have any tortillas to make traditional fajitas so I just put them on a stick! I use the fajita marinade for lots of different recipes with any kind of meat, including shrimp and fish.
Lemongrass Ground Beef Skewers
Great flavor combinations in these simple, fast, and economic kabobs.
Margarita Beef Skewers
These skewers are quick and easy to make and taste terrific. With tender top sirloin, you don't need to marinate a long time to tenderize the meat, just long enough to impart the flavors of the citrus and garlic marinade. Serve over rice.
Indonesia Sate (Meat Kabobs)
This is a fabulous treat for summer barbecues with a fresh salad and French bread or even a quick supper with Indonesian fried rice. It's great with beef, pork, or chicken.

Persian Shish Kabob
Keep it simple is the idea in this recipe. The beef is marinated in a mixture of lime juice and onion, seasoned with salt and pepper, and grilled. Serve with a Persian style pilaf.
Sweet Grilled Steak Bites
Marinated cubes of steak or roast are grilled over an open flame, kabob-style. This recipe has a slightly sweet flavor that is not overpowering, but enough for people to know it's not an ordinary steak!
Cuban Beef and Zucchini Kebabs with Mojo Sauce
A nice, summery mix of meat and veg that is super easy to grill and eat. The sauce makes it even better!
