Here is a great recipe for moussaka, a Greek dish. It includes sliced eggplant baked in a ground beef sauce and then smothered in a thin white sauce.
A great barbecue dish, and a nice alternative to steaks. Really quick to prepare! You can also fry them in a pan. ENJOY!
Gyros is a Greek dish consisting of meat, tomato, onion, and tzatziki sauce and is served with pita bread. YUM!
An extraordinary barbecue recipe to surprise friends and family. Serve with lemon slices and rice.
Margaret's Keftedes (Greek Meatballs)
This is my yia yia's recipe--a family favorite straight from the village of Kyparissia. Serve as an appetizer or with tzatziki, Greek salata, and pita or pasta for a full meal. They taste best served at room temp and make for wonderful leftovers. If you don't care for lamb, try using all beef instead.
Authentic Greek Moussaka
This traditional moussaka is truly the best, and just as authentic as any you'd try in Greece! While it takes a bit of time, it's actually quite simple to make. Kali orexi! (Bon appetit!)
Authentic Greek gyros are made with pork and chicken, but I prefer this version. It uses the same spices but is made with ground lamb and/or beef. Plus it's perfect for making ahead of time and heating it when you make your gyros. Don't forget to make tzatziki!
Greek Stuffed Tomatoes and Peppers (Yemista)
This is my favorite! The best time to make it is in August when the garden tomatoes are ready for harvest. Hothouse tomatoes are just not the same. My mom made this every year, and when she did, I thought I died and went to heaven. Enjoy!
This is a Greek/American lamb and beef mixture version of the traditional Greek pork or lamb Gyros (or Gyro). Serve on warm pita bread with tzatziki sauce, and thinly sliced onion, tomato and lettuce.

Keftedes - Greek Meatballs
Here is a fried Greek meatball - Cyprian style. These are made with grated potatoes; a little different than the islands of Greece. Squeeze some lemon on them and have a taste of Cyprus.
