Yes!!! I'm so excited about this recipe. I made it for my sweetie for V-day because it's his favorite dessert. My family was over when I was making it and, though they were doubting that I could pull it off, once they smelled it they couldn't wait to try it. We all took our first bites at the same time and my mom and brother said, "This tastes like REAL baklava!" I followed the advice of others and as I was making the sauce I just added a little bit more of everything and it was the perfect amount. More advice: I wanted mine to look really authentic so I sprinkled very finely ground nuts on top. I wouldn't recommend doing this before you bake it. They burned- it did not affect the flavor but just didn't look as pretty as I wanted. Also, be sure to put a layer of Saran wrap between your damp cloth and the Phyllo you're not using. The cloth will stick and ruin it. One more thing. I dont know about anyone else but once I added the honey to my sauce mixture it nearly exploded, I looked away for a second and looked back and it was overflowing like crazy. It ruined the burner pan. Just be sure to turn the heat way down before adding the honey. I would also recommend cutting/grounding your nuts very finely, I did one layer a little too thick and it caused it to fall apart. No big deal though, still delicious!
