This is a great recipe from a member of our cook-off team. Beef ribs are breaded and deep-fried. This would be best in an outdoor deep-fryer. Two racks of ribs should give you about 6 pounds.

  • In a medium bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic salt, and onion salt. Place the flour in a separate bowl or plate. Whisk eggs in a large bowl. Rub the spice mixture onto all of the ribs. Dip each rib in egg, then in flour, then egg, then flour again.

  • Place the ribs in a fryer basket so they are not crowded, try 4 or 5 at a time depending on the size of your fryer. Cook for about 8 minutes. Remove to paper towels to drain. Continue with remaining ribs.

I used a large pan and cooked only one small bone-in, short beef rib. I think the pan choice was a mistake, but I don’t have a deep fryer. Nonetheless, rib was good!!! Read More

Followed the recipe just as it was written These came out of the fryer raw in the center. I put them in the oven to slow cook to get the center done but that made the crust tough. They were very spicy. Want be making these again. Read More

Made them today with my own seasonings and they turned out perfectly delicious. I used Accent garlic powder garlic pepper onion powder salt and a little hickory liquid smoke. I marinated the 3 slabs over night and fried them in all purpose flour and vegetable oil. Hubby loves them Read More
