I following another reviewers advice and added chopped ham to the dish- also added onion and garlic (staples in my cooking) and I ended up with a dish that could be featured in the kid-friendly recipes section! Used fresh beans and potato. The cooking time was almost doubled with my changes-just kept an eye until it bubbled. Thanks for sharing!
I'm sorry but I can only give it four stars. It's just that it would really have to be spectacular for it to recieve five.:) It was delicious but I think next time I will possibly use freshly boiled potatoes. I don't like the flavor the canned potatoes had.
This was really good you can add ham and make it a one dish meal.Would be good for a potluck also as you can make alot and it is very inexpensive.4 year old daughter declared it the best meal she's had "in her whole life":O)
