A traditional holiday favorite in my family, this creamed pearl onion recipe is a surprising treat to the palate. Chopped dry roasted peanuts mingle with the cream sauce and onions, while the bread crumb topping gives it a nice bit of added texture. My sister used to bake this at every holiday meal she hosted, and since we've lost her, it has a special meaning :).

I liked it my husband hated it. I would have preferred the pearl onions to be more tender - maybe I didn't cook it long enough. Hubby would like to try it without peanuts and cheese on top. I'll report back how it goes! Read More

I am Kitty1960 I uploaded this recipe years ago! I see my photo is gone for some reason too bad! To whomever thought the onions were too hard you did not bake it long enough or your oven was not at the correct temperature. The onions are soft whenever I make it. I have made this for every holiday meal since I lost my sister and will make it again this week. I hope that you will try it it is truly delightful and people who do not like onions love it! Happy Holidays!! Read More
