Baked Beef Stew

Rated as 4.35 out of 5 Stars

"This is such an easy way to make a wonderful beef stew. You don't need to brown the meat first-just combine it with hearty chunks of carrots, potatoes and celery...and let it all cook together in a flavorful gravy."

I made this recipe a couple of days ago and it was a flop. It tasted like tomatoes, instead of beef stew.

This recipe was given to me many years ago by my sister, and I lost it. It was my family's favorite and I'm so happy to have found it again! PK

My family loved this dish and I loved how easy it was to make!

This is my absolute favorite beef stew recipe!! It is SOOOO good, and is very easy to make! I've been making it for years. . .

You can leave salt out if you'd like. It has enough flavor without it.

I thought it was great and very fast to prepare. I doubled the water and tapioca and added 1 packet of dry onion soup mix. Also added more veggies so we'd have leftovers.

very good as is. Although I did double the sauce, thats a must. I also browned the meat.
