  1. In a large saucepan, saute onion and garlic in butter until tender. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Transfer to a greased shallow 1-qt. baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.

This was great! I made it a little healthier by using 75% less fat cheddar, skim milk and cooking spray instead of butter. It was still awesome.

So this took 2 taste tests before I decided it was a great dish. When I first served this fresh out of the oven, I didn't think it was necessarily spectacular. It was only after reheating left...

I made this trying to get my husband off pasta and potatoes all the time. What a dissapointment! It was just bland. Sorry Allrecipes, just wasn't good. But I still love all your other recipe...

Definitely mild tasting. Tried to jazz it up with a couple of tablespoons of onion soup mix and some frozen brocolli but it still was a little bland. Not bad though. Just not amazing.

Not sure how to save this one. It is bland. I added some grilled chicken pieces to the top and 1/2 tsp of garlic salt to the portions. It was slightly better than plain rice, but not much.
