Amaretto Creme on Fresh Fruit

For fresh fruit we used sliced strawberries, sliced kiwifruit, pineapple chunks, and chopped mango.

Ingredients

  • 4 egg yolks

  • ½ cup sugar

  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 tablespoon amaretto or other almond liqueur

  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Fresh fruit

Directions

  1. COMBINE first 3 ingredients in a medium saucepan; gradually add milk, whisking until smooth.

  2. COOK over low heat, whisking constantly, 10 minutes or until thickened. Remove mixture from heat; stir in amaretto and vanilla.

  3. COVER and chill. Serve over fresh fruit.
