View All Saved Items Rate Print Share Share Tweet Pin Email Add Photo 2 Prep Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins Additional Time: 3 hrs Total Time: 3 hrs 30 mins Servings: 8 Yield: 8 servings Jump to Nutrition Facts Ingredients 1 (16 ounce) package spaghetti ¼ cup sesame seeds ¼ cup tamari ¼ cup sesame oil 2 ½ tablespoons balsamic vinegar 2 tablespoons sucanat ¼ teaspoon chili paste ¼ cup chopped green onions Directions Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti in the boiling water, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, about 12 minutes. While the pasta is cooking, heat sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat until golden brown and fragrant, stirring occasionally, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and immediately transfer to a plate to cool. Whisk tamari, sesame oil, balsamic vinegar, sucanat, and chili paste together in a bowl. Drain pasta and transfer to a large bowl. Add dressing, sesame seeds, and green onions. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight before serving. Cook's Note: You can use brown sugar for sucanat, if preferred.
