Cook, stirring occasionally, until butter turns a golden brown color, 5 to 7 minutes. Butter will foam and then settle down. Add garlic and saute until fragrant, 30 to 60 seconds. Stir in crushed red pepper. Reduce heat to medium-low. Stir in maple syrup and lemon juice until combined. Cook's Notes: I use Crown Maple(R) syrup. I used this sauce on 1 pound of king salmon and it was outstanding, but it was too much sauce for that amount of meat. I recommend using it with 1 1/2 to 2 pounds fish or meat. To use, spoon sauce over cooked fish or meat in a warm skillet just until fish or meat are warmed, about 2 to 3 minutes.
