View All Saved Items Rate Print Share Share Tweet Pin Email Prep Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 25 mins Total Time: 45 mins Servings: 6 Yield: 6 servings Jump to Nutrition Facts Ingredients 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized pieces 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon garlic powder salt and ground black pepper to taste 3 large eggs ¼ cup milk 2 cups dry bread crumbs ½ cup cracker meal ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese, or more to taste ½ cup vegetable oil, or as needed Directions Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add cauliflower and cook until just tender, 3 to 5 minutes; don't overcook. Drain. Mix flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix eggs and milk in a second bowl. Mix bread crumbs, cracker meal, and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese in a third bowl. Dip cooked cauliflower into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and finally into the bread crumb mixture. Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Lower cauliflower carefully into the hot oil in batches, adding more oil if needed. Fry until light golden brown and crispy, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Repeat with remaining cauliflower.
