As written, I'm sorry to say I wasn't a fan...but the great thing is, there's potential because it's a very versatile recipe! First off, there is no way that a small can of tomatoes makes 4 servings. You will get 2 servings out of this recipe max, so you might want to double it. It is very bland and that's due to there being no salt; this is really needed to bring out the flavors. I recommend starting out with 1/2 tsp and adjusting from there. There is way too much black pepper, so this sauce has quite a bite. Next time I'd use 1/8 tsp of pepper, no more than 1/4 tsp. The sauce could also benefit from a longer simmer time. Just "heating it through" for 10 mins doesn't really give the flavors a chance to meld and the sauce to reduce down.
