  1. Place cube steak, bell pepper, onion, and water in a skillet. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, add butter, and season with salt and pepper. Simmer until cube steak, bell pepper, and onion are tender and most of the water is absorbed, 25 to 30 minutes.

I didn't change a thing except I doubled the recipe for my large family. All gone, non left for tomorrow!

Nice way to cook a not so tender cut of meat. I left it juicy by adding more water and served it with rice on the side.

We ate this with rice and the kiddies really like it. I put hot sauce and liked it better.

I only made this because I was caring for a young child, who is a picky eater. Looks like prison food. The boy did not eat it.
