  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, sliced

  • 1 tablespoon white sugar

  • teaspoon salt

  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil leaves, chiffonade

  • 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice


  1. Combine strawberries, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Set aside for 10 minutes.

  2. Combine basil, balsamic, and lemon juice in another bowl. Pour over strawberries and toss to coat. Serve.
