Original recipe yields 16 servings (16 brownies)
- Layer sugar, chocolate chips, flour, cocoa, and pecans in a quart-sized jar, packing each layer slightly in preparation of the following layer.
- Place marshmallows in a resealable sandwich bag and remove the air, sealing tightly. Place the marshmallow bag on top of the other ingredient layers. Cover the jar with the lid and attach baking instructions on a recipe card.

- Baking Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8x8-inch baking pan. Remove marshmallows from the plastic bag in the jar and set aside. Place remaining brownie mix in a large mixing bowl. Add 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter, 1/4 cup buttermilk, 1 large egg, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Stir until well blended. Spread batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until set. Sprinkle with reserved marshmallows. Bake 3 to 5 minutes or until marshmallows are fluffed and lightly melted. Allow to cool and enjoy!
