  • Place a heaping teaspoon of pork mixture in the center of a wonton wrapper. Moisten edges with water. Fold the bottom point to the top point, creating a triangle, and pinch to seal. Fold the outer 2 points in toward the center, pinching together. Repeat to form remaining wontons.

  • Pour chicken broth in a pot and bring to a rolling boil. Add grated ginger. Add wontons and cook until they float to the surface, indicating they are ready, about 6 minutes.

  • Serve, garnished with green onions and soy sauce.

Fantastic! I have to admit I was extremely surprised by the outcome, given the short list of ingredients. I was expecting the soup to be bland, but quite the opposite! Even though I'm a huge fan of wonton soup, it was my first time making it. They definitely get easier to make after you get the hang of it. Next time I might add a touch of sesame oil and rice wine vinegar to the meat mixture. You could even get away with another carton of chicken broth because this makes a ton of wontons, unlike when you order it from a restaurant and it's mostly broth. Thanks for the recipe! Read More
