Hot Honey

Rated as 5 out of 5 Stars

"It's easy to buy hot honey, but just as easy (in my opinion) to make it at home. Drizzle it over roasted meats or vegetables, or use it to spice up a salad dressing. You can also mix it into soft butter to serve over biscuits. Yum!"

  1. Combine honey, vinegar, red pepper flakes, thyme, smoked paprika, and salt in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature so flavors infuse, about 30 minutes. Store at room temperature in an airtight container.

  • Cook's Notes:
  • Vary the flavor profile to suit your tastes. Rosemary sprigs, orange peels, and crushed fennel seeds are all delicious additions.
  • Strain out the solids if you prefer not to see them in the final dish.

This is very good and easy to make. I made exactly as written including the thyme and smoked paprika. This will become a staple for me. It is great on bread/biscuits with butter. I will try it ...
