Vegan Buttery Drop Biscuits


You wouldn't believe that these moist, buttery biscuits are vegan!

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 ½ tablespoons white sugar

  • ½ tablespoon baking powder

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • ½ cup coconut milk (such as Coconut Dream®)

  • ¼ cup vegan butter (such as Earth Balance®), melted


  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Line a baking pan with parchment paper.

  2. Sift flour into a bowl and add sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix together. Add coconut milk and vegan butter; mix together gently until combined.

  3. Drop batter by heaping tablespoonfuls onto the prepared pan.

  4. Bake in the preheated oven until sides or tops are golden, 10 to 13 minutes. Let sit for 2 minutes before serving.

Cook's Note:

You can use raw sugar instead of white, and you can replace coconut milk with almond, soy, or cashew.
