  • Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, steak seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl; mix until combined. Shape mixture into 8 meatballs, forming each one around a cube of Cheddar cheese. Wrap each meatball with 1/2 slice of bacon and place seam-side down on the cooking rack, leaving 1 to 2 inches between each one.

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Reduce heat to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and continue baking until meatballs are browned, about 10 more minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160 degrees F (71 degrees C).

  • Remove from oven and drizzle meatballs with barbecue sauce.

I added some spicy sausage to the mix when I made these. They had some kick to them but were still really good. The BBQ sauce tamed the spicy a little bit. Sure didn’t have the kick when they were cold but still good. Definitely a big hit the first time around. Can’t wait to make them again but might use honey garlic sausage instead for a different flavour. Read More

I did make some changes, used Mixed Italian cheese. Added a teaspoon of teriyaki and a teaspoon of soy sauce. Had no bread crumbs so used oatmeal and crackers . Came out great, will make again. I make my own Italian sausage and am going to give that a try instead of beef. I think it's going to be great! Read More

I made it exactly as given. It was a great hit at my Scout's potlock. I gave the recipe to several people who asked for it. Read More
