My family loved these. Super easy to make too. I greased an 8 X 8 square pan with coconut oil for easy removal instead of using parchment paper. They lifted right out. Since we LOVE chocolate, I used raw cacao powder and increased it just a touch for both the brownies and the icing. I also used medjool dates since they are sweeter and softer than other dates. We are definitely making these again.

These were quite delicious. They are practically a meal in themselves. They do actually taste like a brownie. The only issue for me was using a baking sheet to spread them out, which was difficult. Then icing them was not smooth. I tried and abandoned the idea. I ended up rolling them into balls, warming the icing, then drizzling it over them. This way was prettier and easing to serve to guests. I topped them with some fresh grated coconut.
