Original recipe yields 4 servings
- Heat 1/2 of the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1/3 of the onion and 1/3 of the garlic and saute until onions become translucent, about 5 minutes. Add seitan chunks and cook until browned, 5 to 7 minutes.
- Place remaining onion and garlic, remaining olive oil, soy sauce, vinegar, bay leaves, and pepper in a saucepan over low heat; cook for 5 minutes. Add seitan mixture and cook, stirring occasionally, an additional 7 minutes.
