  • Season pork chops with salt and pepper. Dredge in flour and cumin and shake off excess.

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Saute pork chops until browned, about 5 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate. Add apples; cook and stir just until tender, about 2 minutes. Transfer to a plate. Add broth, vinegar, honey, ketchup, and shallot to the skillet and cook for 1 minute.

  • Return pork and apples to the skillet, cover, and cook until pork is only slightly pink in the center, about 10 minutes more.

Cook's Note:

Use 4 to 6 pork chops, depending on the size of your saute pan.

Delicious. Dredge the chops in the seasoned flour. Sear the chops, remove to plate and keep warm. Add 1 tablespoon bacon fat to pan and saute sliced apples and sliced small onion. Whisk broth, ketchup, honey, vinegar (use white if wine vinegar not available,) with remaining dedging flour till smooth. Pour over apples. Adjust seasoning as needed. Simmer till apples tender. Add chops & juices back to pan. Cook till chops are done through, and place all on serving platter. Read More
