I love these cookies! Easy recipe and I didn’t change anything. The cookies tasted a bit like banana bread because of the cinnamon. I have a recipe for a similar recipe and I have to say, these definitely rival mine. Thank you for a great recipe!!
Read MoreMy family found them a bit bland and I even doubled the cinnamon. I pushed them down into a sheet pan & cut them into 12 bars 5 minutes after I took them out of the oven. They held together very well.

I added a half teaspoon of salt and baking powder the second time I made these . The recipe way and that way are both good. The third time I used vanilla yogurt and a tblsp of sugar. Kids liked that the best bc it was a little sweeter. You can spoon them or make in a pan. So easy and tasty.
Just like banana bread, this is a great recipe for when you've got a few over-ripe bananas!!!! I made the recipe almost as instructed (added 5 oz of vanilla yogurt instead of 1/3 cup of plain). ***Did NOT need to adjust cook time for Convection Oven.*** Rolled batter into balls, placed on parchment-paper-lined baking sheet, flattened the ball just a smidgeon, and baked as instructed for 20 minutes. VOILA!
After reading reviews, I made the following changes: added 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt and 1 tsp vanilla. Left out cinnamon. Used 5oz Chobani less sugar Madagascar Vanilla & Cinnamon yogurt. My bananas were ripe, but not very ripe, so I creamed together the bananas and yogurt before adding the other ingredients. I followed the rest of the recipe, spooning teaspoons of batter onto parchment paper. Baked 20 minutes. Loved the banana taste! Had two with coffee and now feel full. Thanks for the recipe, will definitely make it again.

I make a cookie with the same basic ingredients but no yogurt. I add toasted coconut, choc chips and raisins. You can get addicted to them! They are quite filling and make a great snack in the middle of the day.
I didn't get a chance to make them yet, but the way the recipe reads currently, is that you put the entire bowl of ingredients in the oven and bake it that way! Lol, thanks for the giggles! ;)
I make these quite often, easy to make and healthy. . Sometimes add vanilla extract or almond extract. Also use CRA sins.
This recipe has an odd texture and I really felt as thought it is missing something.
Only changes were to add 1/2 teaspoon each of salt and baking powder as suggested by a previous post. The cinnamon was very subtle, which usually is preferable not to overpower, but I may add a little more next time. Plenty of raisins; in fact if you are not crazy about raisins try adding just a half cup. They really do enhance the cookies and give it a natural sweetness. I like to have a little something with my coffee in the morning and these fit the bill perfectly. No added sugars, no flour, and very tasty.
I'm going to try dried plums instead of raisins and see if that sweetens it a bit.
I made them exactly as shown. I had a half of one. They were soggy inside (raw-like), but edible because only the Oats really need to be cooked. I won’t eat the other half and I know my partner would not eat them. The next time I will add the 1/2 t salt and baking powder and maybe an egg. The concept is good, no fat, not a lot of sugar, oatmeal, etc, but they have to taste good too. I think the author is missing an ingredient or two.
I like these for actual breakfast! I'm a big fan of oatmeal banana cookies, but most are too sweet and not substantial enough for breakfast. These are like having my morning bowl of oatmeal in handheld form. I subbed walnuts and a few chocolate chips for the raisins. I think it makes them more satiating. Will definitely make these again when I have overripe bananas.
Added 1 tsp of Dutch cocoa. Can’t have bananas without chocolate!
So easy to make but if you want them a bit crunchy cook a little longer ..I did 20 min and they turned out great ..nice and chewy
I'm going to try dried plums instead of raisins and see if that sweetens it a bit.
I added Walnuts and some protein powder and they turned out great.
I have made this but instead of using yogurt, i used apple sauce and turned out really well
I made couple of changes adding 1 teaspoon of vanilla and ½ teaspoon of salt. They taste good but are too moist. I think if I make them again I will flatten them out more (as they do not spread).
Made these without raisins but with dried cranberries, no cinnamon added mini chocolate chips, coconut yogurt & tsp Almond extract. A little mushy will probably bake at higher temp next time.
I've made a similar version but like this one a bit more. Super easy, super healthy and super filling for a grab and go snack and pre and post workouts.
I didn’t use enough raisins so the cookies could have been a little sweeter if I did. Great healthy breakfast grab & go.
Delicious, healthy cookie! Used both raisins and mini chocolate chips and everyone loved them!
Certainly healthy and chewy, but much more texture and flavor with berry bits, honey and wheat germ.
Not enough ripe bananas, only one. Added not quite ripe banana with some pumpkin and peanut butter and silvered almonds. I like sweet and added 2 table spoon of brown sugar. Will tweak it again. Interesting base to use. Not bad, could be better. More peanut butter next time.
Great recipe for busy mornings! I added vanilla to the recipe. Next time I might add peanut butter or chocolate chips (or both!). Thanks for the recipe!
These are fabulous. I'm sure they'd be great as listed, but I did make a few changes. used Craisins instead of raisins; added a teaspoon of vanilla and a little bit of monk fruit because I like things sweeter. These are filling and delicious and a great alternative to store-bought bars.
I make these all of the time, many batches at a time, and I freeze them. They thaw well. It's a great mid morning snack. I'll use dried cranberries and almonds, dried pineapple and coconut. Sometimes I'll add honey or chopped up berries. Peanut butter is a great addition. The possibilities are endless really. Just start with the basic recipe of bananas, yogurt, and oats.
These are really good. The first time I made them we enjoyed. My sons said they were not sweet enough, so I added 2 tablespoons of sugar and/or little bit of honey. The reason for 4 stars was due to the texture, otherwise really good.
I've made these several times on the past couple months. of course you can sub low sugar craisins and/or add walnuts. So good and healthy!
Made no changes, easy to make. Used 1/3 cup thumb press scoop. Used Breville Super Convection Oven, finished in 12 minuets.
only things I did because I had them was add 1/2 cup chopped walnut and 2 Tblsp. agave syrup . We totally like them accompanied by a plant protein smoothy and some fruit for breakfast. Great way to fuel up to start day!!!!!!
These were pretty bland. Needs something else to make them tastier.
Didn’t have yogurt. Substituted milk. Turned out great. Quick, easy and delicious
I used 130 g golden raisins and 80 grams of walnuts, because, you know, sometimes you feel like a nut. They came out good and satisfied my urge for something sweet, but not too sweet, for breakfast.
Made exactly as recipe said. They turned out fine. Not bad, but not very good either, at least in my opinion. That’s about the response I got from my family as well. I ended up topping them with peanut butter which was a great improvement. Imagine a solidified bowl of oatmeal. Exactly what you put in is exactly what it tastes like. Don’t expect anything crazy.
Great to find cookies without eggs which I am allergic.
Nice moisture level. Like the extra protein and potassium with the yogurt as well.
So very easy and so very good. I substituted sour cream for the yogurt and added some slivered almonds. Very satisfying.
Super easy to make. I made per the instructions. Tasty and nutritious! The only change I made was to add some chia seeds. I will bake these again.
I will make it again. Tasty and easy to make maybe add mini dark chocolate chips in lieu of raisins the next I make them.
I was frustrated since there were no directions on type of surface to bake them on--greased, ungreased, parchment paper--size of cookies and how far apart on the cookie sheet. Mine seemed a bit too bland so maybe riper bananas would have helped.
No changes made will bake them again. Perfect for a different breakfast and also a healthy suppliment when on the move.
These are delish. I omitted the cinnamon (not a fan) and used vanilla yogurt. Very good. It's for breakfast, it's not supposed to be sweet!
only things I did because I had them was add 1/2 cup chopped walnut and 2 Tblsp. agave syrup . We totally like them accompanied by a plant protein smoothy and some fruit for breakfast. Great way to fuel up to start day!!!!!!
Followed the recipe exactly and used Old Fashioned Oats not quick., and they came out great. I got more then 12 however. Better then banana bread, healthier and lower calorie I think, but there was no nutritional information listed.
These were delicious. I made them exactly as the recipe shows with no substitutions.
Love these & the simplicity and that you can add other ingredients as you wish- they turn out great! Great for adults and kids!
Very good. Quick and easy. I used chocolate chips instead of raisins and vanilla yogurt because that’s what I had on hand.
I used vanilla yogurt instead of plain. They turned out so good, very moist, thought they were to be crunchier.
these were not very good to me they needed toasted pecans or something and I like more of a crunch 0 these were not crunchy they were very soft
Yummy! Encouraging, as I had just tried another "healthy" bar (from a book) that tasted like zilch. These were good!!!
Great breakfast treat with no added sugar. We liked the cookie! Can be a great base, may try some dried cranberries next time.
I will make this often. Not only for breakfast but nourishing snacks.....they are yummy, healthy and very easy to make!
I've been looking for a way to make my own granola bars, without adding marshmallow, syrup, honey etc. This recipe will be a great place to start. I'm not thinking of these as cookies, and since I've really reduced my sugar consumption, these taste sweet enough, without all those raisins, to me. I used plain kefir instead of yogurt, and cut the raisins to 1/4c. I used large flake oatmeal. I let it sit for 30min. So the texture turned out on the wet, gummy side. I'll make these again for sure, using yogurt as listed, to dry them up a bit. A great way to eat your oatmeal while driving to work! Thank you!
Great simple, healthy and filling snack that is an excellent way to use older bananas. I only added tspn of vanilla although it wasn’t very noticeable in the flavor. I’ll probably use vanilla Greek yogurt next time. And there will be a next time!
Made these but added cranberries & not raisins....will try again with walnuts. I liked them but not the hubby.
I really like these cookies. No sugar and filling. I eat them for a snack
I enjoyed them a lot so did my son. The recipe suggests to back for 30 minutes but does not specify how to apply them to the tray. Should they be rolled into a ball and flatten or scooped with a spoon. What size cookies should they be
I'm sorry but these were terrible. It was a waste of good oats, & raisins. I ate one and threw the rest away.
I did not make any changes... the baking time was perfect. I took another reviewer’s suggestion and flattened them to make more of a cookie shape. They were delicious. I found it difficult to walk away from them.
It was dry and didn’t have much taste. I added a little more sour team and a teaspoon of honey and then they tasted worth eating.
My kids love these! My son can’t have dairy so I substitute the yogurt with dairy free yogurt. They are super fast and easy and the kids really enjoy mixing all the ingredients and putting the cookie on the sheet. Great “no screen” activity for kids. As is the recipe is a 4 star. We doctor the recipe up to a 5 by adding dairy free chocolate chips, a little vanilla and sometimes peanut butter powder with sea salt.
Loved this! The more the cookies sat in the frig. the better they tasted! The raisins plumped up and the oats got soft and tasty. Wasn't a strong banana taste like with banana bread. I am making more this week!
LOVE it! My husband is not a breakfast person and he has been sneaking these all week. I made the recipe just as is and did a "drop cookie" to get them on the sheet. Perfect!
