This recipe is the best and most delicious homemade Alfredo sauce. It's really creamy, and I promise that you will not make it any other way. When I cook this at the firehouse this will feed 5 of us and we'll have leftovers. Serve over pasta.

Directions

Instructions Checklist
  • Melt butter in a medium nonstick saucepan over medium heat. Stir in cream cheese and garlic using a wire whisk until smooth, about 5 minutes. Add heavy cream a little at a time and whisk until smooth, cooking slow over medium-low heat, 7 to 10 minutes. Stir in Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until blended. Adjust seasonings to taste. Remove from heat.

Cook's Note:

I sometimes add chicken to this recipe. I use 3 boneless chicken breasts, cook them separately, and add on top of sauce. I personally like to grill my chicken.

Best Alfredo sauce I’ve ever made. It got rave reviews from family! Everyone kept saying it was restaurant quality. It’s true! I won’t make it Amy other way now! Loved that it came together so quickly. I made a couple of changes just to save a few calories, and it was still delicious. I used half and half in place of heavy cream, and used fat free cream cheese. Thank you for sharing?? I was serving it to company, so I didn’t think about getting a picture. Next time! Read More
