  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).

  • Spread potato nuggets in a single layer on a baking sheet.

  • Bake in the preheated oven until tots are golden brown, about 25 minutes.

  • Meanwhile, whisk mayonnaise, sour cream, 1 tablespoon truffle oil, garlic, lemon juice, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Set aioli aside.

  • Remove tots from the oven and transfer to a large bowl. Let cool for 5 minutes. Drizzle with remaining 3 tablespoons truffle oil; toss to combine. Add Parmesan cheese and parsley; toss to combine. Serve tots with reserved aioli.

Instead of making this a dip, I made it a topping in a loaded tots recipe. I made the aioli and added more black pepper, used half with peppercorn mayo, a little more truffle oil, some paprika, truffle salt, onion powder, a dash of red pepper, some basil. I mixed in some of the parsley and Parmesan. I sprayed the tots with some admired truffle oil, and then drizzled this over it, then topped with onions, tomatoes, green onions, parsley and parm. I made extra and used it as a sauce for a truffle mushroom Swiss burger to go with it. It’s perfect, better than a restaurant. So glad I found this. Read More
