  1. Place apples, plums, butter, 2 tablespoons apple juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice in a skillet over medium heat. Cook, stirring and mashing frequently, until fruit is very tender, about 30 minutes.
  2. Add more apple juice to achieve desired consistency.

  • Prune juice may be substituted for apple juice, if desired.
