Saute onion, carrot, and celery in the hot oil for 5 minutes. Add garlic and thyme and cook for 1 minute. Add broth, white beans, and bacon. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and let simmer for 5 minutes. Serve topped with pesto. Cook's Note: You can freeze this after adding bacon to prepare later.
