Delicious new flavor of meatballs to add to our recipe rotation! I added some salt and onion powder to the meat to suit my family’s taste but otherwise followed the recipe exactly, and it was great!
Read MoreI read the reviews and used the suggestions -added breadcrumbs and am egg to the meat and filled them in the oven. I started the sauce exactly as the recipe stated. it was way too vinegar forward. I had to add to make it edible! added more soy, more pineapple juice and a bit of honey. It was ok after all that but I don't think I'll make this one again since there are many other options.

My family really enjoyed this. Could easily double the meatball part to 2lbs as there is plenty of sauce.
The sauce was very tasty! My main reason for giving it 4 stars was the meatballs themselves were a bit dry/tasteless. I will add salt, egg and breadcrumbs in addition to the spices next time to see if this helps moisten them up a bit. I added onions to the pot as one reviewer had mentioned which I thought was an excellent suggestion! I served with rice and thought it was a tasty, well-rounded dish. It reminded me a lot of a sweet and sour dish you would get at a Chinese place but with meatballs. Bonus: now the kitchen smells amazing!
It was a tad sweet so a splash of soy sauce on top made it perfect. It’s kid approved so definitely adding this to my new recipes to make.
The sauce was good but the flavors didn't go through the meat. I mixed the finely chopped bell peppers into the meat. I think maybe 1/2 teaspoon of salt and some soy sauce would help the flavor of the meatball. I thought I could serve them on a toothpick like a cocktail meat ball, but better over rice.
My husband loved this recipe!! I gave it 4 stars because I added eggs and crackers to the meatballs and seasonings because of the reviews that said the meatballs were bland. This recipe was great but needed a little work so it’s worth the small effort to make. I would call it sweet and sour meatballs.
Very easy to make an delicious! If you like sweet and tangy this is the recipe for you. Will be making this dish again.
Soooo good. Had to modify the recipe. Added bread crumbs, egg, and doubled the recipe. Meatballs are bland without added seasoning. With the adjustments, I’d call this dinner a win. Kids ate it too.
The kids absolutely love this recipe! It's now a favorite and they even started cooking them for us. Score!
Very easy to make and tasty. I added an egg, salt, and other seasonings to meatballs after reading other reviewers' comments. I definitely will make this again. The directions were right on target as to temperature and time required to prepare.
Great!! I’m going to add 1/ 2 an onion with the green pepper next time.
Really enjoyed the flavor but my meatballs did not hold their form at all and turned into a sloppy joe type consistency.
Easy to prepare, I added red onion, yellow and red bell peppers. It’s really delicious.

This recipe satisfied my cravings for pineapple. I added an egg to help bind the meat but I feel like breadcrumbs would help too. I love veggies so I added an extra bell pepper and some red pepper flakes for some heat. Next time I might try this with chicken instead.
This was a delicious dish. I will definitely make it again. I love the pineapple flavor. I took the suggestion of another reviewer and added egg, bread crumbs and onion powder to the meatball mixture. They turned out good and not dry. Next time I think I will double the pineapple though. Served it over rice with a side of broccoli.
I swapped out the brown sugar for Swerve brown sugar substitute. Still good! Will make this again.
I added celery and onion, for additional veg. I totally left out the 1/4 sugar. I would give my version a 5. But it would be gagging sweet with more sugar, it serves no purpose. Thus the 4 stars.
I made this exactly as directed. So easy! And the family loved it.
I added an egg to the meatballs to bind them. I followed the recipe from there on. The meatballs desperately need salt. I would guess 1/2t. I also added broccoli and cauliflower rice. That’s how my family eats. If it weren’t for the lack of salt, I would have given it 5 stars. Sauce is very tasty.
